Types of stem cells in your body
In the rapidly expanding field of regenerative medicine, there are 4 common methods of treatment: Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC), Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF), and Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs).
BMAC
BMAC is a solution of stem cells and platelets derived from your bone marrow. Within this solution are three different types of stem cells that hold regenerative potential. These cells are separated from the marrow and administered back into your body. However, this procedure is invasive and must be done every time you receive treatment. Additionally, the amount and quality of the cells vary based on your age and health condition.
PRP
PRP involves extracting the plasma and platelets from a sample of your own blood. PRP can stimulate cellular growth and help heal bone and soft tissue. It’s simple and safe, but its capabilities are limited and every treatment requires drawing blood. PRP is primarily a growth factor and anti-inflammatory medium.
SVF
SVF involves the use of fat extracted via liposuction. Your fat tissue contains a “cocktail” of many different types of cells (including MSCs), and this mix can be used as a healing agent. However, the amount of cells obtained in SVF depends on the amount of fat extracted, so large amounts of tissue may be required to achieve a therapeutic dose. Every SVF treatment requires a liposuction procedure.
At Mystemcells.life, we use MSCs that we extract from your fat tissue. MSCs are readily found in the body and can give rise to many different cell types which are called pluripotent stem cells. Mesenchymal stem cells can become bone, cartilage, muscle, nerves, fat and pancreatic beta cells, and other types of cells in the human body. Unlike many of the other regenerative methods available, we need only extract a small amount of fat (about 2 tablespoons worth) in a simple outpatient procedure to get them. Once we’ve obtained your fat sample, we culture the MSCs it contains. This process allows us to obtain quantities of cells never before possible – hundreds of millions of them – in order to provide an effective therapeutic dose. It’s safe, easy, and our clients typically only need the extraction procedure performed once. We create a master bank of your very own adult stem cells from which then draw a small sample and grow them to large numbers in population size for a therapeutic dosage each time you need it. Our proprietary technology ensures that cells grow healthily and remain genetically stable. In addition to obtaining greater numbers of MSCs than other providers, the cells we culture are smaller than MSCs cultured elsewhere, which makes it easier for them to move through your body and target the areas that require regeneration. Thus far, treatment applications have been promising for a wide variety of conditions, including cardiovascular disease, brain and spinal cord injury, stroke, diabetes, cartilage and bone injury (including arthritis), multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, graft
